Is it possible to seed milk with with a little srikhand to produce curd (dahi / yoghurt)?

One knows that srikhand is made with curd. However, I am not too sure whether it is possible to use a small quantity of srikhand to make yoghurt out of milk, like one uses a small quantity of yoghurt as seed to make fresh yoghurt out of milk. Will srikhand work the same way as yoghurt?
